Security Researcher – R&D Team

Location: Tallinn, Estonia | Yerevan, Armenia | Remote

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who checks off most of the boxes listed below in “skills and experiences”. It is important to us to find a person we can see succeeding thanks to the skills they have developed and experiences they have had.

What you will accomplish

  • Work in a supportive team environment to deliver high quality software
  • Conduct security research to build innovative methods for getting access to encrypted data in various models in terms of forensic examination (software encryption systems like FDE, hardware-assisted encryption like smartphones and tablets, proprietary cloud protocols, etc.)
  • Help the team grow and evolve their processes and procedures

There are several must-haves:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of reverse-engineering processes (reconstructing code logic, etc.), disassemblers (IDA, Radare2, etc.), and debuggers (WinDbg, GDB, LLDB, etc.)
  • Prototyping ability and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
  • Capable of working with remote teams
  • Willing to learn new skills and technologies
  • A high level of spoken and written English

It would be great if you also had some of the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, information security, or another relevant field
  • Prior work experience within IT security, ethical hacking, penetration testing, malware analysis, or a similar field
  • Experience with reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and/or exploit development with embedded systems
  • Experience in low-level components (bootloaders), ARM TrustZone kernels/trustlets, and reversing multicomponent cryptographic systems (e.g., bootloader, TrustZone, Linux kernel, hardware crypto engine)
  • A good team player with a sense of humor
  • Other language skills
